Educational Objectives

In recent years, based on the recommendations from experts in academia and industry, we has set the following educational objectives to align with our curriculum's characteristics and strengths:

  1. Cultivate promising talents in life sciences research.
  2. Foster professionals in biotechnology and environmental ecology.

Our curriculum is designed to focus on two academic clusters: "Ecology and Evolution" and "Molecular and Cellular Biology." In addition to fundamental disciplines in life sciences, we offer a diverse range of elective courses, including Vertebrate Zoology, Invertebrate Zoology, Herpetology, Animal Behavior, Biodiversity and Conservation, Marine Biology and Internship, Plant Ecology, Embryology, Virology, Stem Cell Biology, Genomics, Proteomics, Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Guided Tour Practice in Marine Technology Exhibition Facility, and Biotechnology Seminars. Moreover, we collaborate with the Institute of Biotechnology at our university to provide advanced courses such as Neuroscience and Bioinformatics. This comprehensive approach aims to equip students with the following core competencies: Proficiency in life sciences knowledge. Skills in experimental techniques and teamwork. Abilities in data integration and presentation.
